I have finally completed the bedroom set I told you in the previous post I received from my DIL who had tried to paint it black. I had to do a lot of sanding but luckily she had only got as far as the headboard.
This is a half an hour worth of sanding.
I decided to go with an aqua color for this set. I stripped down the tops of the dressers and rubbed them down with hemp oil and then polyed over them. I went pretty shabby on them and glazed over them. I absolutely love the way they turned out! I’m going to have these featured next month at the antique mall I sell out of.
The headboard I painted a nest on it and wrote nest in white lettering. The footboard I painted a branch on it.
I’m excited to see how long it will last at the antique mall! Have a great day! Traci

This turned out great, didn’t it! I had my old bedroom furniture painted black and it turned out well. However, the person who did it asked me not to give his name to anyone because it was a pain in the neck to paint. Love the aqua!
I really like the color. It looks great. You always seem to amaze me. Keep it up.
oh my its gorgeous! Thank you for sharing at the Thursday Favorite Things hop xo P.S. the new giveaway started Friday
It was fun to come by here and see your blog. Pricing is hard. I’m sure I under price things, but they still don’t sell! I am just in a different market in my local and I’m sure if I sold at Brass I would need to make adjustments. I wish it was clear cut on how to do it, but everyone says its not! How are you old enough to have a DIL??? Your facebook picture makes you look way young! I’m no blog expert and I’d like to do lots of things on my blog better than I am doing, but you should post bigger pictures and make a profile. I just read a blog for bliss book by Tara Frey???? Something like that and that was a couple things she found were important. I’ll start following you through blogger. Is this your full time gig? Brooke http://junkparlor.blogspot.com
Traci!!! This piece is so gorgeous!!! You are so very talented!!! Xo, Ashley
